Transformers 2 Updates

Update #1 : As previously posted, Transformers 2 is scheduled to be released to the big screen on June 26th 2009.

Update #2: It has been hinted that the date might be moved back due an article in The Hollywood Reporter.

Update #3: A new release date was confirmed for July 4, 2009.

Update #4:  Transformers 2 to begin shooting June 2, 2008.

It seems we have some good information now, but only time will tell if this plan actually goes through to a full production. Michael Bay has said that it will have a ton of robots, so I’m not particularly excited, but we’ll see.

Blockbuster Online Sucks

I used to have blockbuster online. Yes, used to have it. I recently canceled by membership. Why, you may ask. I hated it. At one time, I had both Netflix and Blockbuster online, just to compare them, I found blockbuster was better, in terms of price and availability. I also liked the fact that I could turn in my dvd to get a fresh one at the store. Here’s how it started, I get an email saying that my subscription prices are going up. What? Oh, thanks for telling me I’ll be paying you more for less. I actually wasn’t going to be able to turn my dvds into the store to get new ones. I upgraded, because I wanted that functionality. So now I’m at $9.99. So I go for a month with the Blockbuster account…all seems pretty good. But then, I start getting really crappy dvds, scratched, dirty, and incorrect dvds. Blockbuster allows you to say that your dvd is damaged and they will send your a new (the same dvd or a new one on your queue) dvd. Unfortunately, it takes 2 days just to get a new dvd, so that’s a waste. Finally, I email blockbuster and complain, they send me a free movie or game coupon, that was nice. Okay, so now I’m at 1 month ago, I received an email from blockbuster again, telling me my rate it going up to $11.99, another 2 dollars. I became officially pissed off, you should have seen the email “We will continue to provide you with the same, quick service” Except that were going to be charging you more. So finally, I canceled my account earlier this week. I feel better now, but I just found out that I could’ve turned those dvds into the store for video games (I just got an Xbox 360) too. It’s too bad, but I am not going to reactivate my account to get that feature. Anyways, I think I’ll register with Netflix again, but in the meantime I’ll probably be renting from Hollywood.

Team Fortress 2

After finally connecting my computer to the internet for the first time this weekend, I was able to install the incredibly hyped “Orange Box” by Valve Software. The compilation of games includes Half-Life 2, Episode and Episode 2. It also includes Team Fortress 2, the sequel to the popular online first person shooter, Team Fortress Classic. And the last game, a new Valve game, Portal. I hope to review Portal after I beat the game. This was really my first, serious, online fps I’ve ever played…so naturally, I wasn’t that good at it. Unfortunately, when your not good at an online game, and you come late into the game, you eventually get turned off. I stuck with it for some time and found a couple of servers for new players. This helped me a lot, and now I can usually get few kills during a life. Anyways, it is a big improvement to the old version, Team Fortress Classic, which was pretty bad. I had a great time getting into it, I started the game, joined a server, and was playing in less than 2 minutes. Well, I hope I get better as time goes by, because so far this is my favorite of the online fps I’ve played recently. Call of Duty 2

I just downloaded Steam for the first time because I bought the Orange Box. After playing Team Fortress religiously for about two weeks, I decided to buy the game Call of Duty 2 to prepare myself for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. So far I love it. It’s not like Halo where you can get lost in a level. In COD 2, it’s very specific and you don’t get lost much. Pretty much the entire game you are mowing down opponents with your machine gun. That is probably one of the downsides of this game, there is not much strategic game play. I haven’t finished the game, I think I’m about halfway through it, but so far it is appealing to me. I suggest you either download it off Steam for $19.99 or buy it off Amazon.

Sin City 2

So I was surfing IMDB and I found evidence of a sequel to the first Sin City. I really enjoyed the first movie, so obviously I excited for this second film. I didn’t find much information about the movie, other than the fact that it is to be released in 2009, which, in my opinion, is a little long for a sequel. Anyways, I’m glad to hear that Robert Rodriguez is making another Sin City.

Transformers 2 – Release Date

The sequel to the hit movie, “Tranformers” has finally come out with the release date of Tranformers 2. The Date is June 26, 2009. I personally did not think that the plot of the first Tranformers was that interesting, but the visual effects were stunning. Well, hopefully they do a good job on this next one, I’m sure they’re going to rake in the cash based on the popularity of the first movie.
